Information contained in these bulletins is intended for APWU members. Member questions and/or comments regarding any flash bulletin content are always encouraged. Reading of publications prepared for and financed by dues paying members by those who do not is yet one more example of non-members accepting benefits that have been paid for by others!

We have 5 winners of Valley Fair Tickets!

Our COPA goal for 2007 is $20,000.00.  We congratulate all who have contributed to this very important cause to date and our twelve $100 winners!  We are well on our way to the $6,000.00 benchmark and six more $100 winners! 

With all the cash prizes, job and benefit protection along with other incentives….it’s like double bonus points to make the minimal contribution(s) that will enroll you in our 2007 COPA Club!  Contributors through Postal Ease continue to welcome more to their ranks and are automatically enrolled in our COPA Club and its benefits from year to year! 

Because the local participates with Valley Fair in purchasing tickets from their group sales division we are given complimentary passes to the park.  These type incentives that are given to the Union from the businesses we deal with are given back in some way to the membership.  In this instance we were given ten tickets and drew for five names from our list of COPA contributors.

Congratulations go out to Jerry Bahe (Minneapolis P&DC) Ron Bentley (Minneapolis P&DC) Jim Miller (BMC) Dale Pepper (BMEU) and Brad Lemke (Osseo/Maple Grove).  All are winners of a pair of Valley Fair good any day park passes!

We will get those tickets out to you ASAP and also wish you luck in upcoming drawings we are anticipating in 2007 as our COPA Club progresses!  Remember, if you have not yet contributed it’s never too late!   Participation through Postal Ease or EFT will automatically enroll you as will a $10 cash contribution!

MEMBERSHIP DRIVE CONCLUDING!

Members who have taken advantage of our current membership drive will soon participate in prize drawings and membership drive incentives that will mark a close to our current drive.  Winners will be announced in an upcoming flash bulletin along with additional details such as how many new members have taken advantage of this great opportunity.

As a recap, Members will receive $100 for every non-member they sign up from April 1st through June 30th.  They will also be entered into a grand prize drawing for $500 to be drawn at the drive’s conclusion.  Non-members who sign up will be eligible for a prize drawing of up to $500 and once they sign up they too will be eligible for $100 for every non-member they sign up!  See your Steward or Officer for more details.   If you are a nonmember it’s not too late to take part!  Membership to sustain the organization that sustains our livelihood is everyone’s concern!
