Earlier this year our previous Veteran’s Affairs Coordinator, Lorne Henkel reluctantly resigned in order to pay full attention to his new position as Assistant Director Clerks on Tour 3.  Our Veteran’s Affairs Coordinator is an appointed position and we solicited for candidates through our Flash Bulletin with details on how potential candidates could apply.

After carefully considering several excellent candidates to fill this position we are pleased to announce that Robert Arleth (Motor Vehicle Craft) has been appointed as the new Veteran’s Affairs Coordinator for the Minneapolis Area local.

Act Today -- Open Season Ends September 7, 2007!

The Minneapolis Area Local, APWU Dental Plan has been a resounding success for years.  Our plan continues to be contracted with Denticare for another year beginning October 1, 2007 and will provide orthodontic benefits (braces) for dependent children and adults.

Open Season for you to join the Mpls. APWU Dental Plan is NOW.

You have until Sept 7, 2007 to join our Regular #G509, Basic #G609 or Comprehensive #G709 Plans.

Your coverage will become effective for one Contract year on October 1, 2007.

This will be your ONLY opportunity to join until next Open Season in August 2008.

If you currently have this Dental Program we encourage you to review your mailing to note the benefit limits initiated for the next contract year.  If you wish to continue with your Denticare for another 12 months at the monthly premiums listed below, you need not respond.   However, if you wish to add or drop family members, change coverage, or drop this Dental Plan effective October 1, 2007 you MUST respond.  YOUR OPEN SEASON TO MAKE CHANGES IS NOW!

To Enroll, you will need to send the following information, found in your mailing, to CGC in Burnsville:

1.  Your Completed Enrollment Form, and

*  Election of Coverage #G509-Regular, #G609-Basic or #G709-Comprehensive (Plan #)

*  Premium Deduction Authorization

*  Clinic Choice

2.  A Voided Check from Your Checking Account or a Deposit Slip from your Savings Account, for monthly premium deductions.
