During the week of July 25, 2005, your APWU Union Representatives will be visiting the Minneapolis Stations and selected Associate Offices (AOs). We will be visiting between the hours of 8:30 AM and 2:00 PM, and time spent in each office will vary.

Due to the number of facilities we visit, our visits are brief. However, we will be available in the break room at each Station or AO for any questions, comments, requests, or concerns you may want to address with us. . .

If you want to make sure you catch us while we are at your particular station Call 612-623-0677 in advance and let us know. If you have a question regarding whether you have a grievance or not, contact your Steward or in the absence of a Steward call Assistant Director of Stations, John Painter at 952-893-1357.

AND THE WINNERS ARE:

On Thursday, June 30, 2005, our COPA thermometer climbed over the $5,000.00 benchmark as we reached over $5,400.00 in COPA donations for 2005. As you know, we draw for a $250.00 winner each time we reach a $2,500.00 benchmark in our thermometer! In order to be eligible to participate in these COPA drawings one must make a minimal donation of $10.00.

Congratulations to our second $250.00 COPA winner John Rehwinkle! John is a maintenance employee in the Minneapolis P&DC. Our thanks go out to John for being an early contributor! The check is on its way John!

Additionally, when the local receives various compensation for participating in group sales events such as Valleyfair ticket sales we will occasionally draw from our pool of COPA contributors in order to give these items away to them. Previously we awarded two Valleyfair “preview” event tickets and recently we received four good anytime tickets from Valleyfair as a thank you for participating in their group sales program.

We have drawn from our pool of COPA contributors in order to award a pair of Valleyfair tickets to each: Congratulations to John Klein and Lyle Krueth! The tickets are on their way!
