Information contained in these bulletins is intended for APWU members. Member questions and/or comments regarding any flash bulletin content are always encouraged. Reading of publications prepared for and financed by dues paying members by those who do not is yet one more example of non-members accepting benefits that have been paid for by others!

Clerk Craft Officer Announcements!

Brad Sandberg has resigned as Tour 1 Assistant Director Clerks due to taking a new bid.  While we will miss Brad’s expertise and experience on Tour 1, we are happy to report that Brad will continue to be actively involved with the Union and has agreed to an appointment as a Steward for our Stations and Branches.  Brad’s resignation was submitted prior to our May 22nd General Membership Meeting and thus an election will be held at our 6:30 PM September 25, 2006, General Membership Meeting in order to fill the position on a permanent basis.

While Brad’s experience will be missed on Tour 1, we are pleased to announce that veteran Steward, Abe Abram, has accepted an appointment effective June 1st to fill the vacated office until the September election determines who will hold the office through the remainder of this term which will expire on April 30, 2007.

Abey will help fill the void created by Brad’s departure by assisting remaining Tour 1 Assistant Director, Liz Culver with the various duties and Steward Administration Tour 1 Officers are responsible for on a daily basis.

Veteran’s Affairs Coordinator

Effective June 1st, Abe Abram has resigned as Veteran’s Affairs Coordinator in order to devote his full attention to the office of Tour 1 Assistant Director Clerks.  While all our Officers will be able to assist any of our Veterans with questions, problems, or concerns, we will immediately encourage any interested member to contact us in writing.  Please give a brief background along with qualities, and plans you believe you can bring to that office in order to enhance the jobs and lives of Minneapolis APWU Vets!  Those can be sent to our address at the top of this flash to the attention of Jerry.
