Flash Bulletins are paid for by members of the APWU. Information contained in these bulletins is intended for APWU members. Member questions and/or comments regarding any flash bulletin content are always encouraged. Reading of publications prepared for and financed by dues paying members by those who do not is yet one more example of non-members accepting benefits that have been paid for by others! 

NOTICE OF ELECTION OF MINNEAPOLIS AREA LOCAL  APWU OFFICERS AND APWU CONVENTION DELEGATES 

Nominations were accepted for candidates for the positions of Officers of the Minneapolis Area Local, APWU and for Delegates to the State and National Conventions of the American Postal Workers Union at the February General Membership Meeting held at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 26, 2007 at the IBEW Local #160 Meeting Hall at 2522 Marshall Street NE, Minneapolis. 

As per our Local Constitution, nominated members must deliver written acceptance of nomination to the Election Committee within 24 hours of the close of nominations in order to appear on the ballot. 

Immediately following the nominating meeting, the order of names of candidates on the election ballot shall be determined by lot.  The list shall be retained by the Chairman of the Election Committee. 

Election of Officers and Delegates will be by referendum with mailed ballots to be returned to the P.O. Box of the Judges of Election by 10:00 AM Saturday, March 24, 2007, at which time they will be counted.  The results will be announced at the March 26 General Membership Meeting.
