Assistant Director Tour 1 – Clerk Craft

Your Assistant Director Tour 1 – Clerk Craft is Abe Abram

Hello my fellow brothers and sisters, my name is Andrew Martin Abram, but it all works best if everyone just calls me Abey.  I was born on April 7, 1968 in Gary, Indiana and lived there until I was 18.  I joined the U.S. Army and served six years before receiving a Medical Discharge.

My Postal career began on August 2, 1997 as a PTF in Automation PL 145 ironically where you still can find me these days.  That's second floor west end and my schedule is 2250-0700 Sunday night, Monday night off, no overtime on Sundays during football season.  I became active with the Union in 1998 after getting sick from the Snake Oil that Management was selling from the back of the wagon.

In addition to serving as a Union Steward both downtown and at the Twin Cities Metro Hub,I am also an alternate for Maintenance, I also have served as the Veterans Affairs Coordinator, State and National Delegate for the past two conventions.  I turned in my steward's badge in June of 06 when I was appointed Assistant Director of Clerks Tour 1 by the Honorable President "Bull" Sirois.  At the September 2006 General Membership Meeting I was elected to the position which is where I remain today.
