Hello, I have been a proud Minneapolis APWU member for 28 years. I was never really involved in Union activities until a few years ago. My kids had grown up and I wanted to give something back to the organization that was responsible for my economic security all these years. So at the urging of President Jerry Sirois I volunteered to be a part of the Legislative Committee. I also have been a regular contributor to the Northern Light with my Labor History articles. Exploring labor history has really given me a lot of insight into how important the labor movement is and how difficult a struggle our fore-fathers endured that we might have decent lives ourselves.
