Your Assistant Northern Light Editor is Chad Boughton.

Brothers and Sisters, I am Chad Boughton. I started working for the Post Office back in 1993. I was a PTF Clerk at the BMC until 1997, at which time I was converted to Full Time Regular. I have since held Bids on Tour 3 in the Secondary Unit and currently in the 115 Section.

I have been a proud member of our great Union since day one of my career. I became interested in being more involved with our union around the summer of 2000, when our Local hosted the National Convention. I had volunteered to help out at the convention and subsequently had a chance to meet a lot of truly dedicated people working at protecting our rights and fighting for our future.

I became the Assistant Editor of our Local’s newsletter the Northern Light, in December of 2002. In June of 2004, I became an Alternate Steward for the Clerk Craft. After taking several training courses, I became a fulltime steward for the Clerk Craft on Tour 3 in September 2004. I have found the work to be very interesting and challenging at the same time. I hope to carry on our great Union’s pledge to fight for our jobs, benefits and well-being.
