Your Minneapolis Area Local Webmaster is Rick Grata.

As webmaster of the local's website, I do my best to keep this site updated and current as events happen. The current design of the website is it's second makeover. I designed the original website about five years ago and have been working on it ever since.

I was born and raised on the southwest side of Chicago. Started working at the Chicago Bulk Mail Center in 1994 as a mail processing equipment mechanic (MPE). I decided to transfer to the Minneapolis / St. Paul Bulk Mail Center in 1997. In 2001 I became an electronics technician (E.T.)

Currently I'm certified as a full-time maintenance steward on tour one at the MPLS / St. Paul BMC. I've been a steward since 1998. I've also been fortunate to have been a committee member on our local BMC safety committee from 1998 to 2001.

From May 2001 to May of 2004 I had the great pleasure and honor to serve as Assistant BMC Coordinator for the Minneapolis Area Local APWU.
